Each piece is handmade using the finest materials, including heritage-quality copper and carefully selected stone. Our designs are developed in-house or in collaboration with leading figures in the design world, resulting in unique home decor items destined for distinctive homes.

Where are Amal Dhatu products made?

Our products are proudly crafted in India, with copper pieces made by the Tambat workers in Pune and stone items carved by the artisans of Mahabalipuram. This allows us to ensure fair wages, excellent working conditions, and the highest quality craftsmanship for every piece we create.

Do you sell your products on other websites?

Our website is our primary store, designed to welcome you and share our vision of handcrafted luxury home decor.

Unfortunately, other sites and sellers may copy our designs and use our photos without permission. Amal Dhatu products are exclusively available on our website and through select partners such as Design Within Reach, The Expert, and (coming soon) The Invisible Collection.

What materials are used in Amal Dhatu products?

Amal Dhatu products are made from the highest quality materials available. Our copper is locally sourced and meticulously worked by the Tambat artisans, while our stone is carefully selected and hand-carved by the artisans of Mahabalipuram. We ensure that all materials are sustainably and ethically sourced.

Will my copper products tarnish?

Copper products naturally develop a patina over time, which adds to their beauty and uniqueness. This is a normal characteristic of copper. However, if you prefer to maintain the original shine, regular cleaning with a mixture of lemon juice and salt or a copper cleaner will help. Detailed care instructions are provided with each product to ensure longevity.

What is the warranty on my Amal Dhatu product?

Will my product be exactly how it looks in the picture?

In a word, no. Each Amal Dhatu product is handmade using traditional techniques, which means natural, beautiful variations are part of the charm. These differences are true markers of luxury and individuality. Due to the handmade nature, final sizing and color can vary slightly, making each piece unique.

Can I make changes to my order?

After placing an order, you have 24 hours to cancel or change it.

After placing an order, you have 24 hours to cancel and get your money back. Because every piece is made by hand specifically for you, orders not canceled within this timeframe cannot be canceled or refunded.

When am I going to be charged for my order?

You will be charged the total cost once your order is placed.

Do you charge sales tax?

For orders within India, we charge state sales tax where applicable. For international orders, duties and taxes will be charged depending on the destination country.

If I want a design I don't see, what should I do?

That's easy - just let us know! Reach our team at support@amaldhatu.com and tell us what you have in mind. We're always excited to collaborate on custom designs.

Do you recommend any additional accessories for your products?

Yes! While not essential, additional accessories like protective pads for our copper trays can help maintain their shine and prevent scratches on surfaces. We offer these accessories upon request - simply let us know that you're interested by emailing support@amaldhatu.com.

Do you ever have sales or give discounts?

We encourage you to join our email list to stay updated on our latest offers. Once a year, during our annual clearance event, we offer discounts on select items, including production samples and pieces that didn't turn out exactly as planned but are still beautiful.

Shipping & Delivery

How long will it take to get my product?

New orders are processed within 24 hours and sent straight to our workshop team. The entire process—from crafting your item to final inspection—takes 10-14 weeks. Larger or more intricate pieces may take additional time. Please check in with our team for order updates.

How much does shipping cost?

For shipments to India and Europe, shipping is included in our prices! All prices cover curbside delivery. We offer white glove delivery in India for an additional fee. If you'd like a quote for white glove delivery, please contact our team at support@amaldhatu.com. For other international destinations, shipping rates will be calculated during checkout. Please note that for shipments outside India, duties and taxes may apply. We're happy to calculate these for you in advance, just drop us a line.

Where do you ship?

We ship to almost all international destinations! If you don't see your country as an option at checkout, kindly contact us at support@amaldhatu.com and we'll look into it.

How do I know when my order has shipped?

As soon as your product passes our quality control inspection, we'll send you a tracking number to follow its journey.

What are my delivery options?

Standard shipping is via international air courier from India. We offer white glove delivery in India for an additional fee. If you'd like a quote for white glove delivery, please contact our team at support@amaldhatu.com.

International Shipping: Duties & Taxes

For shipments within India, local state sales tax will be charged where applicable. For shipments outside India, all destinations are shipped on a DDU (Delivery Duty Unpaid) basis, meaning that import taxes and duties are not included in your final purchase price. You will be invoiced by our shipping partner and be liable for all charges applied to your order.

How do I check the status of my order?

We're here to help! As a vertically integrated heirloom porduct company in india, we keep a close eye on each and every order. Write us at support@amaldhatu.com and we'll get back to you within 1-2 days with a status update.

How do I know when my order has shipped?

As soon as your decor item leaves our shipping floor in India, we'll send you an email to track its progress.

Can I return my Item?

All orders are final and we cannot accept returns. Please ensure all measurements, colors, and design are correct before submitting your order!

What if I don't like what I ordered?

If you prefer to maintain the original shine, regular polishing can help. Stone items, when cared for properly, will retain their beauty for generations.
